Saved games for 200809 (~r14250 of OpenTTD).

The September 2008 game is a 512x512 temperate map. This is a cargo game with the NewGRFs for fancy stations and more realistic trains. So I've used these GRFs from #openttdcoop's GRF pack version 7.1. These are the same as last month's game.

openttd.cfg (#openttdcoop's version 7.1 graphics pack):

As usual, I made a plan layout in one corner (sign !Plan). It calls for a ring main all around the map, with the main drop in the south side, a separate iron ore system+drop (because the iron trains are slow, at 104km/h, compared to the regular trains which are 128km/h), and a separate goods loop (goods trains tend to be fast, in this game they run at about 160km/h).

The main drop eventually grew quite big. The incoming tracks had to be redesigned a couple of times. Only the power station had to be built, as there was a sawmill and a factory nearby. The plan calls for a power station wherever possible, but it was possible to build it at the main drop.

The industries near the ring main connect to it, and nearby industries connect to them in a sort of feeder fashion. The ore system is purely feeder, with no real mainline.

As of Game Year 2000, most of the traffic is farm traffic. The economy is booming. By 2007, I'm bored.
