Satya's blog - 2005/02/
Well, my blog's finally converted from blosoxm to my homegrown solution. I'll put it up on my site some time.
I did it because I don't want to rely on filesystem dates for the ordering. Now my data files have a meta-date and meta-updated tag in them, and it sorts based on those. Yeah, blosxom can probably do that, but blosxom's NIH (not invented here). The hardest part may be the one that posts to blosxom... no, not really.
http://www.tpu.fi/~t4jlaaks/ep3/ has some purported screenshots from Revenge of the Sith. In Dooku's ship, looks like Palpatine's sitting in the chair just like in Return of the Jedi. Ewan McGregor's Obi-wan is starting to look like Alec Guinness' Obi-wan.
In Toy Story 2, the fake Buzz is fighting the evil Zurg toy (ahem, Starcraft has Zerg... anyway) and says somethin like you killed my father, and Zurg goes no, I am your father, and fake Buzz screams as they both descend on the top of the elevator.
Just like in Star Wars' _The Empire Strikes Back_.
Later, the dinosaur knocks Zurg down the elevator shaft, and he falls screaming just like the Emperor in Star Wars _Return of the Jedi_.
Well, this year's tax returns are done; the envelopes are on my desk and will be posted on Tuesday. What am I forgetting?
William Shatner (Captain Kirk) and Leonard Nimoy (Spock) of Star Trek have both been in Twilight Zone episodes. Nimoy was an extra in A Quality of Mercy with Dean Stockwell, who also played Adm. Calavicci on Quantum Leap.
Burgess Meredith, TV's Batman's Penguin, has recurring roles in Twilight Zone episodes -- The Obsolete Man, and another I forget. They all look so young.
Robert Redford's been on TZ, too.
Oldest files on the system?

Today I discovered that my site's old ca. 1997 webring page still exists. Holy archeology, Batman! I was going to link to it but I am about to delete it.
Update: On second thought, I'll leave it for a couple of days.
A joke on how various programming languages are open source: http://www.thesatya.com/opensource.html
I forgot to include PHP, which would be: opensource(), open_source(), source_open(), open_isource() (case insensitive version), eopensource() (someone's extended version).
